Boruto Confirms Character Death To Mark The End Of Its Latest Arc In Two Blue Vortex

As a huge Boruto fan, I’m telling you, Two Blue Vortex is getting seriously intense! Kishimoto and Ikemoto aren’t holding back – we’re seeing much darker and more brutal fights, and the stakes are incredibly high. The latest chapter on Manga Plus just dropped a major bomb – a really important character died, and it’s going to completely change everything moving forward, especially as it relates to the other Shinju. It’s a game-changer, honestly!

Shinju Mamushi was a major villain throughout the series, and even though he’s now gone, he’ll continue to have a big impact on the story. The ending of Boruto: TBV Chapter 33 suggests his influence will be felt strongly from this point forward.

Shinju Mamushi Is Officially Dead At The End Of The Latest Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Arc

In Chapter 33 of the Two Blue Vortex manga, Mikio Ikemoto and Kishimoto show that the threat of Mamushi has been resolved. When Mamushi initially arrived in Konoha (Chapter 20), he seemed weak because the Konoha ninjas easily defeated him. However, he quickly became a serious problem once he activated his Division ability, overwhelming the ninjas. The situation worsened when Sarada Uchiha lost control of her Mangekyo Sharingan and collapsed. Konoha seemed destined to lose, but Inojin Yamanaka single-handedly turned the tide and saved the day.

Ikemoto and Kishimoto made a smart move by sending Inojin to the fight. His Mind Transfer Jutsu was intended to counter Mamushi’s power. Inojin successfully took control of all of Mamushi’s many clones – over a thousand of them! – and directed that power at Daemon. However, Daemon reflected the attack back, which unexpectedly destroyed Mamushi.

Looking back at the great character development from Ikemoto and Kishimoto, Inojin’s determination really shines as the mark of a skilled ninja. Hopefully, the authors will give similar strong moments to other deserving side characters like Shikadai, Chocho, Metal, and more.

The Narrative Impact Of Mamushi’s Death In The Series

Now that Mamushi is officially gone in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 33, the situation has shifted significantly. Konoha is safe from his attacks, and Boruto Uzumaki has obtained the Thorn Soul Bulb. He plans to use this to return to the Tree where Bug is trapped and free him, as he stated at the end of the chapter.

It’d be a waste to just let this Thorn Soul Bulb go bad, right? — Boruto Uzumaki, Two Blue Vortex Chapter 33

Currently, Boruto is heading towards his next goal, but rescuing Mamushi won’t be simple. Code also wants the Thorn Soul Bulb, and it’s likely he’ll try to steal it from Boruto while Boruto is focused on freeing Bug. If Code succeeds and absorbs the Bulb, he’ll gain Mamushi’s ability to rapidly multiply and receive a significant power boost similar to the Ten-tails. This makes Mamushi’s death a crucial turning point in the Boruto: Two Blue Vortex story, and highlights the excellent storytelling skills of Masashi Kishimoto and Mikio Ikemoto.

Assessing The Next Character That Kishimoto and Ikemoto Will Potentially Kill Off In The Boruto Series

With chapter 34 of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, a new story arc is starting. Now that Mamushi has been defeated, the focus will shift to two characters, primarily Code, who reappeared at the end of the latest chapter. While Code was initially after the Thorn Soul Bulb, his role in this immediate conflict seems small, and his personal growth will likely continue as a separate storyline.

Enjoy this moment, because I’ll be the one who ultimately prevails. Remember that. — Code, Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 15

The story will now center on Shinju Hidari, a clone of Sasuke Uchiha. With only two Shinju remaining, they’re poised to act, and a battle between Shinju Hidari and Sarada Uchiha seems inevitable, just as Kashin Koji foresaw in Chapter 23. This fight promises to be epic, and many fans are hoping it will lead to Sasuke Uchiha’s return after a long absence.

Boruto: Two Blue Vortex’s latest chapters are available to read in English via Viz Media.
