PlayStation 5 players who want a high-end controller with lots of options can now buy the Scuf Omega directly from Scuf’s website. While it’s more than twice the price of a regular PS5 controller, the Scuf Omega comes in different versions to suit various preferences.
Scuf is a well-known brand that makes premium controllers for PlayStation 5 and other current gaming systems. While they cost more than standard controllers, Scuf offers a lot more ways to customize your gaming experience, and their controllers are popular with professional gamers and esports teams worldwide. Popular models include the Scuf Reflex and Scuf Invision.
The Scuf Omega Offers PS5 And PC Users A Premium, Customizable Experience
Okay, so the DualSense controller is pretty good, but Sony’s partnered with Scuf to make something even better. They’ve released the Scuf Omega, a premium controller that’s officially licensed for PlayStation 5. It’s available now for around $219 directly from Scuf. Basically, it’s got all the standard PS5 button layout we’re used to, but they’ve added a ton of customizable options. We’re talking eleven extra inputs! There are four paddles on the back, two side buttons near the shoulder buttons, and five little ‘G-Keys’ near the headphone jack. Three of those G-Keys are already set up for audio controls, which is handy, but you can change all of that through the Scuf app to fit how I like to play.
The Scuf Omega controller stands out thanks to its advanced thumbsticks, which use a technology called tunneling magnetoresistance (TMR). TMR thumbsticks are an improvement over traditional Hall Effect sticks, offering more accurate control and using less energy. The controller comes with three interchangeable thumbstick options, letting you personalize the feel of both the left and right sticks. Quick reactions are also ensured by Omron mechanical switches and customizable triggers β you can set the L2 and R2 buttons for instant response when needed. When connected to a PC, the Scuf Omega boasts a super-fast 1,000 hz polling rate, whether wired or wireless. On PlayStation 5, it supports up to 250 hz.
As a gamer, I was happy to see the Scuf Omega comes with everything you need β a USB-C cable, extra side buttons you can swap out, a wireless dongle, and even a case to carry it all in. Plus, if you spend over $75 on the Scuf website, shipping is free! It’s awesome that it doesn’t just work with PlayStation 5, but also with PCs and Macs β you can connect it with either USB or Bluetooth. Okay, it’s definitely more expensive than some other controllers out there, but if you’re a PC gamer who wants a really high-quality controller, the Scuf Omega is worth checking out.

Although the Scuf Omega lacks features like vibration, its extra buttons and ability to be customized offer a good alternative. It remains to be seen how well the Scuf Omega performs across all the systems it supports.
