Following an online leak of the upcoming game Forza Horizon 6, Playground Games warned players against accessing it early. In a Twitter statement, the developers confirmed the leak wasn’t caused by a problem with preloading and announced they would be taking strong action against anyone caught playing the leaked version, potentially including bans from their gaming hardware and all future Forza games. Shortly before Playground Games cautioned players about accessing Forza Horizon 6 early, reports surfaced of a player receiving an almost 8,000-year ban for modifying a pirated version of the game. It’s currently uncertain whether this ban is real, so the story should be viewed with skepticism. The Forza series has always been strict about banning players who use modifications, and Forza Horizon 6 is following that same pattern. Ultimately, playing the game before its official release carries significant risks that don’t justify any potential benefits.
