When pre-orders opened before the February 27th release, the Kanto Badges intended for the Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise set quickly sold out. The large $649.99 set also disappeared from shelves soon after, leaving fans unsure if it would be restocked.
As a huge Pokémon fan, it’s been really frustrating seeing scalpers snatch up all the cards and LEGO sets! I even heard about a card shop that started damaging booster packs to try and stop them. It’s the same story with LEGO – scalpers buy everything up as soon as new sets are announced. And honestly, while LEGO is releasing more sets, it’s a bit disappointing how few Pokémon they’ve actually made into builds so far. Right now, there are only five Pokémon sets, and one of them is Eevee! I’m hoping they add more in the future.

This particular Pinsir has a cheerful expression while still looking like the powerful Pokémon it is.

LEGO enthusiast Minute_Food_2881, also known as CreationCanvas on Rebrickable, built a Pinsir model using parts from the LEGO Eevee Pokémon set. Specifically, they cleverly repurposed the fur pieces to create Pinsir’s pincers and claws, and even used Eevee’s legs for Pinsir’s legs. The model’s posable arms appear to utilize the same mechanism originally designed for Eevee’s ears. While not immediately visible, the white pieces forming Pinsir’s eyes and teeth are confirmed to be included in the Eevee set, according to a parts breakdown on brickowl.com.
CreationCanvas cleverly used pieces from the LEGO Eevee Pokemon set to build a Bidoof, demonstrating the set’s surprising flexibility. While Eevee’s brown color might limit options for building other Pokemon, there are still many brown Pocket Monsters that could be created with these LEGOs.
