Images of three upcoming LEGO Pokémon sets have appeared online, giving fans a first look at what to expect. LEGO is predicted to release these cute sets in the summer of 2026.
In January 2026, LEGO launched Smart Play, a new system designed to build on the fun of traditional LEGOs. It adds features like lights, sounds, movement sensors, and the ability for toys to react to their surroundings. The core of the system is the “Smart Brick,” but it also includes interactive “Smart Minifigures” and tags that can bring regular LEGO bricks to life. A companion app lets users control and program these Smart Play sets. While LEGO’s new Pokemon toys aren’t currently compatible, they’re expected to be updated with Smart Play features later in 2026.
LEGO Jigglypuff Concert Leaks Online Alongside Two Other Sets
The LEGO community, particularly a group called Brick Tap, has revealed images of three new Pokémon sets that haven’t been officially announced yet: 72159 Jigglypuff Concert, 72166 Cubone and Gengar’s Spooky Showdown, and 72157 Charmander and Geodude’s Cavern Clash. These set numbers have been circulating in LEGO Pokémon leaks since late 2025. According to previous reports, these sets are expected to be released on August 1st.

So, I’ve been following the leaks for the new LEGO sets, and it looks like none of the three upcoming sets will come with that cool Smart Brick. It’s a bit disappointing, but apparently LEGO is saving that for the big Pikachu house set coming in 2026, which is rumored to cost around $70 – the same price as the cheapest set you can currently get with a Smart Brick, the Darth Vader TIE Fighter. As of right now, LEGO isn’t selling the Smart Brick separately, but they’re supposedly planning to offer it on its own sometime soon, which is good news for those of us who want to add some tech to our builds!
Three new LEGO Pokémon sets have been revealed, and are expected to cost under $100 each, though official prices haven’t been announced yet. The pictures available don’t show how many pieces are in each set. These sets are built entirely from LEGO bricks and don’t include any minifigure characters. The models feature oversized details and rounded shapes. Jigglypuff, Geodude, and Cubone seem to work particularly well with this style, while Gengar and Charmander, though a little less accurate to the original, look extra adorable with their rounded forms.

The 72159 Jigglypuff Concert LEGO set, along with other recently revealed sets, likely won’t be sold globally. LEGO’s ‘Smart Play’ line, which these sets belong to, is currently only available in a few countries: the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, France, Poland, and Australia. LEGO plans to expand the availability of Smart Play sets in 2027, but it’s unknown if that expansion will include the 2026 sets like the Jigglypuff Concert.
