Line in the Sand Quest Walkthrough in ARC Raiders

The “Line in the Sand” quest in ARC Raiders sends players to the Buried City to solve a train robbery and recover stolen Thruster Valves. The quest can be a little confusing, leaving you unsure of where to go next. Don’t worry, though – this guide will show you exactly where to find everything you need to complete it.

Locating the Train That Never Reached Marano Station

The first step in the “Line in the Sand” quest in ARC Raiders sends you to an area northwest of the Grandioso Apartment, near some wrecked trains. When you get there, be careful around the apartment windows – I’ve been sniped there a few times while doing the quest, possibly because I was in a player-versus-player match.

When you reach the spot on the map, you’ll see some train cars knocked off the tracks and partially buried in sand. You’ll automatically finish the goal just by getting close to them.

How to Find Who Orchestrated the Robbery

After you’ve seen the train wreckage that blocked the way to Marano Station, go northeast to the small tower I’ve highlighted on the map.

Go inside the small, hidden tower to find a container. Searching it will give you the Marano Market Business Card, which finishes the “find who orchestrated the robbery” goal for the Line in the Sand quest in ARC Raiders.

Where to Find the Stashed Thruster Valves

The next goal in the Line in the Sand quest for ARC Raiders asks you to locate the hidden thruster valves. The game doesn’t give you a direct hint about where to look, but you should head to the Market Ruins. You received a business card for the Marano Market while completing the last step, which is your clue.

The Market Ruins, a collection of crumbling buildings, are situated between the Hospital and Dune’s End.

I saw a Bastion while traveling to that location. Be careful and watch out for enemy raiders who might be hiding on the upper floors of the Hospital.

Once you reach the designated location, the task will be finished. And if you were curious about the Marano Market Business Card, it doesn’t actually do anything – it’s just a small item you can sell after completing the mission.

Where to Search the Basement of the Merchant’s Nearby Apartment

To complete the last step – searching the basement of a nearby apartment – head east from the Market Ruins along the dusty road. You’ll find the abandoned apartment marked on your map.

Go inside the apartment, and you’ll see an elevator shaft with a zipline going down to the basement. If you’ve played before, you might recognize this as a player spawn point. To finish the “Line in the Sand” quest, just interact with the boxes in the room.

Once you finish the ‘Line in the Sand’ quest in ARC Raiders, you can get your rewards – 2 Exodux Components, 2 Magnetic Accelerators, and 2 Magnetrons – by leaving the area through either the subway or a Raider Hatch.

Although it’s not mandatory, players have found that completing the quest and then extracting (leaving the match) helps prevent issues. Some have reported problems with quest progress if they were killed or surrendered after finishing the quest. To avoid any bugs, be sure to extract after you complete the quest.
