What to know:
- Apparently, Michael Saylor is playing crypto solitaire again. Hinting at more bitcoin buys after the weekend selloff-because who doesn’t love a good dip?
- Company shares are down 6%, and their preferred stock is trading below par-because nothing says “financial stability” like a company on sale!
So, Strategy’s Big Boss, Michael Saylor, the man who owns more bitcoin than most people own Facebook accounts, is hinting at buying more. Classic move-buy high, sell low, right?
He tweeted “More Orange,” because apparently, “beige” isn’t exciting enough for his snack choices or investment signals.
For months, Saylor’s been flashing these orange dots, which are like his personal game show clues-followed by a big reveal on Monday. It’s like cryptic crossword puzzles but with more caffeine and less fun.
Now, with stocks down 6% and trading below $150, it’s obvious-they’re tight on cash, so buying more bitcoin might be… how do I put this delicately? Limited. Yeah, limited.
The preferred stock, known as Stretch, trading below $100, is basically the company’s way of saying, “Please don’t ask us for money, OK?” They even jacked up dividends just to keep it from falling further-talk about throwing a lifebuoy into a sinking ship.
By the way, this company has scooped up about 40,000 bitcoins this year, bringing its total stash to around 712,647. That’s a lot of digital coins to keep somewhere-probably in Saylor’s sock drawer.
And as we speak, Bitcoin’s hanging out around $78,000-probably just waiting for Saylor’s next move, or maybe it’s just checking the weather.
