Nintendo is releasing a quirky new mobile game called Pictonico on May 28th for both iPhones and Android devices. The game lets you transform your photos into bite-sized games!
Pictonico is a fun game that reminds me of WarioWare! You take pictures of your friends, and those photos turn into quick, quirky mini-games. The game boasts over 80 of these, and each one creatively incorporates the face in the picture.
The website features a playful game where a face is transformed for an eating contest, and players control an oversized jaw to ‘eat’ food. Another game lets you add a tongue to the face and feed it a lollipop.

I’ve been checking out these mini-games, and they’re super quick and fun – kind of like WarioWare! The website says there are a bunch of ways to play. You can try to beat all the mini-games, or go for high scores in a special mode. There’s even a daily fortune thing you can check out each day, which is a nice little bonus!
Pictonico! isn’t a completely free game. While you can start playing without paying, you’ll probably need to make purchases to unlock all the games and features. The extra content is sold in packages called ‘game volumes’.
Pictonico is now available for pre-order on the App Store and Google Play Store! You can find more details on the official Pictonico website.
