The Hamster Ball is a special item in Neverness to Everness that players can unlock. To get it, you need to have the character Hathor on your team. This means you’ll need to try your luck with the game’s character pulls. If you haven’t chosen a free high-level character yet, it’s best to pick Hathor first, as she offers more than just the Hamster Ball in NTE – she’s a very useful character overall.
How to Unlock the Hamster Ball in NTE
The strange ‘Hamster Ball’ issue in NTE is connected to Hathor, a powerful character you can get through the game’s regular character pulls. Currently, the only ways to obtain Hathor are by collecting enough Warp Pieces (the in-game currency for buying characters) or by using the free S-Rank character you receive when you first start the game.
If you’ve already got Hathor, you should be able to put the Hamster Ball furniture in your home. However, there’s a limitation: currently, the Hamster Ball can only be placed in the Eden Apartments or Skyview Halls. If you don’t own either of those properties, you won’t be able to use it. This might change later, but for now, that’s how it works.
Houses are pricey, but you can quickly earn a million Fons by repeatedly completing Pink Paws Heist runs in NTE. While there are other ways to make Fons quickly, Pink Paws Heist is likely the fastest and most profitable – as long as you still have some Fons to begin with.
NTE: Hamster Ball Anomaly Effect
Anomaly Furniture usually provides small stat boosts or helpful conveniences in Hethereau. However, the Hamster Ball is different – it’s specifically used to obtain Modules. These Modules are like Tetris pieces that you fit onto your Console to improve your characters’ stats. You can only get one Module from the Hamster Ball each day. If you need more, you’ll have to farm the Rabbit Hole Anomaly Zone in New Herland.
The Hamster Ball in NTE normally has a 20% chance of dropping a Purple Module. You can improve this by feeding it Little Melon Seeds, which increases the chance of getting rarer modules. Once fully upgraded, the Hamster Ball will have a 60% chance to drop Purple Modules and a 40% chance to drop Gold Modules.
To locate Little Melon Seeds, open the Anomaly Furniture menu in your home and choose the Hamster Ball. Clicking the Little Melon Seed icon will reveal the positions of Haunted Vending Machines, which you can destroy to obtain seeds.
Is the Hamster Ball Anomaly Worth Getting?
If you’re focused on maximizing your character’s growth, getting Hathor for the Hamster Ball is a good investment. She can also automatically complete delivery missions, which is really convenient. Plus, Hathor excels at dealing area-of-effect damage, and she works great with Jiuyuan or Sakiri to create a powerful team for tackling Ghost Train levels.
If you haven’t gotten Hathor yet, don’t stress about missing the Hamster Ball. The extra Module you’d get each day isn’t a big deal, especially if you don’t get many good drops. Plus, Hathor isn’t a limited-time character, so you’ll have another chance to get her by trying your luck on the regular NTE gacha banner in the future.
