On March 6th, Where Winds Meet will receive a large update introducing the new Hexi region. This area features beautiful and expansive landscapes, including Jade Gate, Liangzhou, and Qichuan, each offering distinct challenges. A trailer detailing the update is available below. Later this year, players can also look forward to the major Imperial Palace expansion.
Okay, so the update throws a bunch of seriously tough new enemies at you. We’re talking massive warriors lugging around cannons, a weird magical deer, this huge bird-like dude – a tengu, I think – and even a lamia that can summon lightning! They all look incredibly intimidating, and honestly, I’m hoping the loot drops are amazing to make all that fighting worth it.

It launched globally in November 2025 and quickly gained 15 million players in its first month.
