This post contains spoilers for Solo Leveling.
Sung Jinwoo is the central character in Solo Leveling, and as such, plays a key role in every major storyline. The first two seasons of the anime focus on his development as a fighter, showing how he progressed from being a very weak E-rank Hunter – someone who struggled with even the easiest monsters – to a much more powerful individual.
The experience in the Double Dungeon drastically changed Jinwoo, unlocking incredible potential within him. He continued to develop his abilities, and by the conclusion of Solo Leveling Season 2, he had risen to become the most powerful Hunter in all of Korea.
Thomas Andre Is Stronger Than Sung Jinwoo In Solo Leveling Season 3
Thomas Andre Is A National Level Hunter
- Thomas Andre is stronger than the current version of Jinwoo
- He is a National Level Hunter
Sung Jinwoo became world-famous after his incredible performance during the Jeju Island Raid. He was the Korean Hunter who stopped the dangerous Jeju Island Ants all on his own. During that raid, he also gained Beru, the Ant King, as a powerful ally by turning him into a Shadow Soldier. Though Jinwoo is now considered Korea’s strongest Hunter, he isn’t unbeatable, and fighters like Thomas Andre could defeat him in a battle.
People who only watch the anime might not know much about Thomas Andre, since he doesn’t appear often. However, readers of the original web novel know him well – he’s an incredibly powerful Hunter. Thomas Andre is a national-level fighter who battled Kamish, considered humanity’s greatest danger. Kamish killed hundreds of Hunters and could have destroyed the entire human race if it weren’t for the efforts of national-level Hunters like Thomas Andre who managed to stop him.
As a huge fan, I’ve been thinking a lot about Season 3 of the show! It’s awesome that Thomas Andre was one of the heroes who stopped Kamish – seriously, a legend! Looking at how many episodes the first two seasons had, I’m guessing Season 3 will be around the same length, which probably means about four story arcs. If they follow that pattern, it seems like the anime will finish *before* we get to the International Guild Conference arc. And here’s the interesting part: if the pacing stays consistent, Sung Jinwoo might actually be *less* powerful than Thomas Andre in Season 3. That means our main hero probably won’t be the strongest character this time around, which is a really exciting twist!
Sung Jinwoo Does Surpass Thomas Andre Later In The Series
Sung Jinwoo Becomes Stronger Than All National Level Hunters
Currently, Thomas Andre is stronger than Jinwoo, and this is expected to continue for a while, likely until the next season. However, as Jinwoo gains more experience and improves his abilities, he will eventually surpass Thomas Andre. After that, Jinwoo will focus on becoming more powerful than the Monarchs, who are actively trying to kill him. Unlike Hunters, the Monarchs aren’t human – they possess incredibly strong powers that allow them to defeat opponents almost instantly.
Not even Thomas Andre could defeat them. The Monarchs first appeared in season two, suggesting they might return in the next one.
I’ve been following the buzz around this anime, and honestly, it’s no wonder fans are clamoring for a third season – the story has been so good so far. It’s just really strange that the studio hasn’t said anything at all. Season 2 was a huge hit, so everyone expected news about Season 3 right after it finished. Now it’s been over five months, and we’re still waiting for any official word. It’s a little frustrating, to say the least.
There’s been a lot of talk online about when Season 3 of Solo Leveling might come out, with some suggesting 2028. Anime staff involved in the series have encouraged fans to show their support to help make it happen. The delay in news is probably because the studio is currently working on other projects or is still planning how to best approach making Season 3. Hopefully, A-1 Pictures will resolve these issues soon and give fans, who have been eagerly waiting, an update.
