Players with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass can now enjoy Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault. Along with this new release, two more games have been added to the Game Pass Premium tier. November has already seen ten games launch directly into the Microsoft service, making a total of thirteen new additions this month. This brings the total number of Xbox Game Pass releases this year to 202.
Digital Sun created the first Moonlighter game, an action RPG that came out in May 2018 and received positive reviews – it has an average score of 82 and a 78% recommendation rate on OpenCritic. By June 2022, over 2 million copies had been sold, according to publisher 11 Bit Studios. Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault is building on the original by emphasizing its roguelite gameplay. While it will still feature both running a shop and exploring dungeons, it will offer more detailed town development and focus more on dungeons that change with each playthrough.
Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault Joins Xbox Game Pass Ultimate
The Game Preview version of Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault is now available on PC Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, after a one-month delay. This early access version is currently only for PC players. An Xbox Series X/S version is planned for the future, expected to release when the game reaches its full 1.0 version, currently targeted for 2026. Because Xbox Cloud Gaming uses Series X hardware, Moonlighter 2 will also become available to stream on the service around that same time.
Moonlighter 2 Likely Coming to Xbox Game Pass Premium in 2026
After Microsoft launched a lower-cost Xbox Game Pass option in September 2024 (first called Standard, then renamed Premium in October 2025), it’s typically added games that were initially available on Game Pass on day one to this tier about six to twelve months later. Following this trend, Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault is likely to become available on Xbox Game Pass Premium between May and November 2026.
2 More 2025 Indie Titles Now Available on Xbox Game Pass Premium
I was really excited to see the latest Xbox Game Pass update on November 18th! They added two new games to the Premium tier: Kulebra and the Souls of Limbo, which is a cool, relaxing 2D adventure, and Revenge of the Savage Planet, a fun co-op sci-fi action game. It’s great because I’ve actually been playing both of these on PC and with Game Pass Ultimate for about six months now! Revenge of the Savage Planet joined Game Pass way back on May 8th, and Kulebra and the Souls of Limbo followed shortly after, about eight days later.

Alright gamers, get hyped! Xbox Game Pass is getting another wave of games this November, and it’s starting now with a triple drop! First up, on November 20th, we’re getting The Crew Motorfest and Monsters are Coming! Rock & Road, but they’ll only be available on PC and for Game Pass Ultimate members. Then, five days later, Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden and Kill It With Fire 2 are hitting the service. But here’s the cool part: Microsoft is now tagging games that are especially good for handheld devices like the ROG Ally and Ally X. Monsters are Coming! Rock & Road and Marvel Cosmic Invasion are the first games to get that ‘Handheld’ tag, which means they’ll play great on the go!
