Joe Russo, director of Avengers: Endgame and the forthcoming Avengers: Doomsday, recently explained the decision to alter Peter Parker’s origin story in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In an interview with CBR, Russo – alongside his brother Peter – stated that Tom Holland’s Spider-Man was intentionally written without the responsibility for Uncle Ben’s death.
