How to Unlock the Hardware Suppression System (DGMK4) in BF6 Season 3

As a Battlefield 6 player, I’m really excited about the DGMK4, or the Hardware Suppression System! It’s a Recon class gadget that lets you find and disable enemy gadgets and explosives. Getting it in Season 3 requires completing a challenge involving assault rifles. While anyone can eventually unlock the DGMK4 in BF6, it’s going to take a bit of effort – even for experienced players like me!

How to Unlock the DGMK4 in BF6

To unlock the DGMK4, you’ll need to finish the Season 2, Week 3 Catch-Up Challenge. You can find it in the Challenges menu, under the Seasons tab. The challenge requires you to get 30 kills or assists using Assault Rifles and deal 2500 damage while aiming. The main difficulty is completing the previous Catch-Up Challenge first.

To get the DGMK4 in BF6, you’ll first need to unlock the 9K38 Igla and VCR2 – but only if you haven’t already. Unlocking the Igla involves eliminating enemies with a submachine gun and earning 2500 Score while in a vehicle. The VCR2 requires you to deal 3000 damage with shoulder-mounted launchers and either destroy or help destroy aircraft using the Igla.

Getting the VCR2 achievement will require persistence, because taking down jets and helicopters alone is very difficult. While it’s easier with teammates, you can complete the challenge by loading into the Railway to Golmud map, finding a good spot on a hill, and repeatedly firing your Igla missile launcher until it’s done.

After unlocking the VCR, simply use any Assault Rifle in BF6 to complete the two objectives required for the DGMK4 challenge. You can do this in any game mode and on any map, but a good strategy is to play a Casual Breakthrough match and eliminate bots to finish it quickly.

How to Use the DGMK4 in BF6

Okay, so the DGMK4 is seriously awesome. Basically, you just aim it at anything explosive – rockets, C4, even those annoying recon drones – and pull the trigger. It’ll blow up to three things at once! The best part? It can see through walls, so spotting claymores and mines is a breeze. But here’s where it gets really fun: if someone throws a grenade, I can detonate it mid-air with this thing, and it’ll take them out along with anyone nearby. It works through walls too, which is just… chef’s kiss.

The DGMK4 has one major drawback: its range is very limited. When it first came out, it could hit targets up to 60 meters away, but now, in Season 3, it only works effectively within 15 meters. This makes it best suited for smaller maps like Hagental Base, and even then, it isn’t as powerful as it used to be. On the plus side, the DGMK4 in BF6 has unlimited uses, so you don’t have to worry about running out of ammo if you choose to use it.
