In the manga Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, the main character, Boruto Uzumaki, is constantly getting stronger. Currently, in chapter 33, he’s become one of the most powerful ninja, thanks to improvements to his Kusanagi sword and his ability to use Momoshiki Otsutsuki’s Byakugan.
Boruto’s Byakugan allowed him to clearly see and anticipate all of Shinju Mamushi’s clone attacks. However, the manga Boruto: Two Blue Vortex (Chapter 29) suggests he’s developing a different, new power in addition to the Byakugan – and it’s not the Jogan that fans have been expecting.
Boruto: Two Blue Vortex’s New Arc Will Power Up Boruto Uzumaki to Take on Hidari and Jura
The manga Boruto: Two Blue Vortex is beginning a new story arc after Inojin Yamanaka defeated Shinju Mamushi in Chapter 33. The Shinju Clones originally had five strong members, but with Matsuri, Ryu, and Mamushi now gone, only Hidari and Jura are left. These two will be the primary villains in the next part of the story. Hidari is designed after Sasuke Uchiha and seems destined to gain his powers when fighting the Konoha ninja, while Jura is an unbeatable force representing the Ten-Tails.
As Jura and Hidari grow stronger, Boruto Uzumaki has gained complete control over the powers and abilities of Momoshiki Otsutsuki, as shown in chapter 29 of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex. Now, with Momoshiki’s full support, Boruto can use Otsutsuki skills like karma without worrying about losing control. Momoshiki has essentially given Boruto free rein to use these abilities to defeat his enemies.

As Momoshiki predicted, Boruto recently used the Byakugan to defeat copies of Mamushi’s soldiers. This shows that Boruto has begun to unlock the powerful abilities of the Otsutsuki clan, and suggests he may gain even more powers in future battles. Momoshiki possesses another powerful eye ability called the Rinnegan, located on the palms of his hands, which Boruto might also be able to access.

Why Boruto Uzumaki Will Eventually Gain Access to Momoshiki Otsutsuki’s Rinnegan
In chapter 29 of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, the deal between Boruto Uzumaki and Momoshiki Otsutsuki will hold as long as Jura and Hidari are still living. This allows Boruto to freely use Momoshiki’s powers, like his eye techniques, until they are defeated. However, once Jura and Hidari are gone, Boruto will have to give full control of his body to Momoshiki as payment for using the Otsutsuki’s power.
Because of the deal Boruto made with Momoshiki, it makes sense that Boruto will eventually be able to use the Rinnegan, which was in Momoshiki’s hands. To have a chance against Jura, Boruto will need to master the Rinnegan in addition to his Byakugan. Jura hasn’t shown everything he’s capable of, and their first fight in the Land of the Wind only gave a glimpse of his true strength.
If Boruto Uzumaki had the Rinnegan, he’d stand a much better chance against Jura. Combining the Rinnegan’s powers with his existing abilities would significantly improve his odds. Plus, his current agreement with Kawaki could lead to a strong team-up, potentially playing a big role in upcoming battles in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 34.
How Strong Is Boruto Uzumaki in Two Blue Vortex Right Now?
Boruto’s power has steadily increased since the time skip. Thanks to the Karma mark and his access to Momoshiki’s abilities, he’s now as strong as an Otsutsuki. Currently, he surpasses both Naruto and Sasuke, who are still recovering in Konoha. Boruto can fight Kawaki at full power and even compete with Jura, all without relying on Karma.
Watching the latest chapters of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, I’ve noticed Boruto Uzumaki has been getting some incredible boosts to his abilities. He’s mastered a new Rasengan, developed his own version of the Flying Thunder God Technique, and even gained the Byakugan. Plus, Sumire upgraded his Kusanagi sword! It seems like all this power-up is leading towards a final showdown with Jura, and I have a feeling a further upgrade to his Rinnegan might be exactly what he needs to win.
