In Directive 8020, the crew of the Cassiopeia lands on the stormy planet Tau Ceti f to try and contact Earth using the Charybdis Probe. They brave the dangerous weather and find Anders before locating the probe itself. Once they find it, they’ll need to fix it and then enter a specific code to continue the story. This guide explains how to get the Charybdis Probe’s code and progress in Directive 8020.
How to Get the Charybdis Probe Serial Number in Directive 8020
During episode 7 of Directive 8020, players will encounter the Charybdis Probe as part of a story segment also called “Charybdis Probe.” After navigating a difficult landscape, they’ll find a damaged probe with a flashing red light. The first step is to repair the probe itself before they can use its terminal to enter a serial number.
To fix the Charybdis drone in Directive 8020, begin by using the probe’s main console to remove the damaged module. While you’re there, you’ll also see the first number of the Charybdis probe’s serial number – it’s a “2”.
Walk around to the back of the Probe and use the console there to open a compartment. Inside, you’ll find a spare module. While you’re there, also note the last two digits of the Probe’s serial number – they are “40.”
Okay, so once you get that working chip out of the probe, immediately look to your right. You’ll spot a broken drone lying on the ground, and it has the second number from the Charybdis Probe’s serial number – it’s a ‘5’!
You’ve received all the digits for the Charybdis Probe’s serial number in Directive 8020, so you’re ready to finish the repairs. Just install the replacement module into the compartment on the front of the probe, which will bring up a terminal. Then, enter “2540” as the serial number to complete the task.
