FromSoftware’s Duskbloods Gets An Encouraging Update

Fans are eagerly awaiting The Duskbloods, and FromSoftware has just announced when we can expect it. Originally planned for the original Nintendo Switch, development moved to the newer system. This multiplayer action RPG will let players create unique, vampire-inspired characters and enjoy both player-versus-player (PvP) and player-versus-environment (PvE) gameplay.

Nintendo revealed the Nintendo Switch 2 in April 2025, and one of the biggest announcements was a new game called The Duskbloods, which will only be available on the system. Since the initial reveal, there hasn’t been much information released about the game, leaving fans of FromSoftware wanting to know more.

The Duskbloods Release Window on Nintendo Switch 2

Recent financial reports from Japanese companies have given gamers a peek at what’s coming next. Kadokawa, the majority owner of FromSoftware, revealed details about two Switch 2 games: The Duskbloods and Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition. Both are currently expected to launch before the end of 2026, which matches information from earlier leaks. Those leaks suggested The Duskbloods could arrive in late 2026, potentially around October or even later.

So, I’m hearing a potential release window for The Duskbloods – late 2026 – and honestly, it feels pretty legit. The info came from Nate the Hate, and this guy has been on point before. He was one of the first to spill the beans about the new Star Fox game, which Nintendo actually confirmed recently. Now he’s saying a remake of Ocarina of Time is coming this year, and after being right about Star Fox, a lot of us are inclined to believe him. A late 2026 release for The Duskbloods would give Nintendo and FromSoftware plenty of time to really build up the hype, which makes a lot of sense.

Nintendo usually holds its big presentations in June. If that pattern continues this year, we might find out when The Duskbloods is coming out as early as next month. Even though Nintendo isn’t publishing the game themselves, they’ll probably want to heavily promote it, just like they did when it was first revealed. They could feature it during their main presentation, or even give it its own dedicated showcase, similar to what they did with Star Fox.

As a huge Nintendo fan, I’m already getting excited about the Switch 2! It sounds like we’re getting a ton of great exclusive games, and I’ve heard whispers about a new title called The Duskbloods that could be amazing. Nintendo’s raising the price of the new console in September, so they’re probably counting on these exclusives to convince people to upgrade. And honestly, anything from FromSoftware – the team behind some incredible games – is a big deal! They have such a dedicated fanbase, and I’m really hoping this new game lives up to the hype. Good news is, with almost half of 2026 already gone, we shouldn’t have to wait too much longer to finally play it!
