How to Beat Nestbound Bird in NTE (Call of the Lost)

Anomaly Commissions are a major part of playing NTE, but they can be quite difficult. These commissions involve fighting to gather materials, and you might be having trouble with one in particular – the Nestbound Bird.

How to Start Call of the Lost Anomaly Commission in NTE

To start the fight with the Nestbound Bird, you’ll first need to begin the ‘Call of the Lost’ commission. Open your map and select ‘Anomaly Commission,’ then scroll until you find ‘Call of the Lost’ and click to start tracking it. This will mark the location on your map.

The job takes place at the Pink Paws bank in the New Herland District. Head there and go up to the rooftop. You’ll see a glowing red structure – interacting with it will start the boss battle, so be ready!

Nestbound Bird Fight in NTE (Neverness to Everness)

Okay, so I learned that the Nestbound Bird really doesn’t like Cosmos damage. Seriously, it makes the fight way easier if you bring at least one character who deals that type of damage. I’ve had good luck with Chiz and Edgar, so I’d recommend them!

Staying mobile is key to winning this fight. The Nestbound Bird is relentless and doesn’t let up, immediately attacking when the battle begins. As the fight goes on, it will vary its attacks, so you’ll need to be extra focused during the second half.

The hardest attack to deal with was the one where enemies launch flying projectiles. It sends a constant stream of attacks from the air, so I spent most of my time trying to avoid them.

The best time to attack is immediately after the initial cutscene. When the Nestbound Bird’s health drops to around 30-35%, a scene with Hotori will play. After this, the boss will be briefly stunned, giving you a chance to deal damage without taking any hits in return.

Once that initial phase is over, the battle settles into a pattern of evading attacks, blocking, and looking for opportunities to strike. If you remain patient and only attack when you have a clear opening, the fight becomes much easier to handle.
