In Subnautica 2, Titanium is a core material needed to build habitats, create tools and vehicles, construct base components, and craft various other items.
New players should quickly learn where to find Titanium, as it’s a valuable resource that becomes increasingly important as the game progresses.
Where to Find Titanium in Subnautica 2
At the beginning of the game, the best place to find Titanium is in the caves on the ocean floor near your Lifepod. These caves have lots of large rocks containing essential resources like Titanium, Copper, Acidic Raion Pouches, and Feather Kelps – everything you need to get a strong start.
You can find lots more Titanium further away from your Lifepod (see details below), but it’s not worth the trip early in the game. The time it takes to travel there, collect Titanium, and return will likely be too long. It’s better to wait until you have Oxygen tank upgrades and a Wakemaker to help you swim faster.
Types of Titanium Deposits
There are three types of Titanium deposits in Subnautica 2:

Scanner Station
To reliably find Titanium in the middle and late stages of the game, build a Scanner Station at your base. This module lets you locate and monitor Titanium deposits nearby. It’s a really helpful upgrade and worth unlocking quickly.

Best Places to Farm Titanium in Subnautica 2
Blackbox – Wander Cave
As you play, you’ll get a message from NoA about the Blackbox – Wander, a cave hidden behind a thick layer of Bloom Biofilm. You’ll need to build a Sonic Resonator to clear the biofilm and access the blackbox. Luckily, this same tool also lets you gather large amounts of resources.
After you get past the Bloom Biofilm and into the cave, you’ll discover a large Angel Bloom below. Around it, you’ll also find several large Titanium deposits that you can break open using the Sonic Resonator.
Defeating the Angel Bloom completely is essential to gain heat resistance, which will allow you to continue your adventure.
Camp One
Once you get the Sonic Resonator, a great place to find large Titanium deposits is close to Camp One. You can find Camp One 300 meters northeast of your Lifepod.
When you get here, find the strong water current leading into a tunnel. The whole area where the current flows is rich in Titanium, and you’ll find plenty of Quartz above it.
You don’t need the Sonic Resonator to collect Titanium ore. There’s plenty scattered around the small islands near Camp One, making it a great place to find this ore early in the game.
