The recent Riven Tides update for ARC Raiders introduced a new Beachcombing event and the Dockmaster’s Detector, offering players a fresh and enjoyable way to find loot. Once the event starts, head to the beach in the northern part of the map and use the Detector to dig up valuable items—but watch out for potential dangers hidden in the sand! This guide will quickly explain how to get and use the Dockmaster’s Detector, and how the Beachcombing event works in ARC Raiders.
How Does the Beachcombing Event Work in ARC Raiders
Okay, so in ARC Raiders, when I’m playing on the Riven Tides map, there’s this thing called Beachcombing. Basically, I can dig up stuff buried in the sand! It’s usually resources I need for crafting, but sometimes I get lucky and find these really cool boat models – like, legendary ones! Those sell for a ton of credits back in Speranza, so it’s worth keeping an eye out for.
To join this event, players must have a Dockmaster’s Detector with them.
Here are all the conditions that are active during the Beachcombing event in ARC Raiders.
- Buried Valuables can be found in the Riven Tides beach area.
- High chance to find Dockmaster’s Detectors in containers.
- Increase the number of birds found in the outdoor areas. Birds can attract other ARC Machines and hostile raiders to your location.
How to Get the Dockmaster’s Detector in ARC Raiders
The Dockmaster’s Detector is a new tool in ARC Raiders, added with the Riven Tides map. You’ll need it to find hidden treasure during the new Beachcombing event, so here’s how to get one in ARC Raiders.
- You’ll be given a Dockmaster’s Detector after accepting the Shoring Up Defenses quest from Apollo.
- Deploy bird cages around buoys on the Seabed area of Riven Tides as part of the Avian Alarm Project to get the detector.
- While the Beachcombing event is active, search inside the containers at the Stacking Yard for a high chance to get the Dockmaster’s Detector.
How to Use the Dockmaster’s Detector in ARC Raiders
During the Beachcombing event in ARC Raiders, start by going to the beach in the northern part of the Riven Tides map to use the Dockmaster Detector.
When you reach the spot, the detector will lead you to the buried treasure by changing how often it beeps. Once you have the tool ready, pay attention to these signals to pinpoint exactly where the treasure is hidden.
- No Response: You’re nowhere near any treasure. Relocate to another area of the beach and try again.
- Orange Beeps: You’re in the vicinity of a buried treasure. Try to move in a direction where the frequency of the beeps increases.
- Orange & Green Beeps: You’re getting really close to the buried treasure. Try to make precise movements to close in on the treasure.
- Static Green Beep: You’re on top of a buried treasure. All you need to do now is simply dig it up and hope it isn’t a mine or a tick ready to pounce on you.
