Neowiz announced during its latest earnings call that a sequel to Lies of P is officially in development. The game has moved beyond the prototype phase and is now in full production. The possibility of a sequel was first hinted at in November 2023, around the time the director of the original Lies of P shared early concept art for the game’s story DLC.
I was really blown away when Lies of P came out last September. Critics seem to agree it’s a great game – it’s sitting around an 82 on OpenCritic, and 88% of critics recommend it. Our own Dalton Cooper gave it an 8/10, saying it’s super fun once you really get the hang of the combat, though it does take some time to master. Honestly, Lies of P has only gotten better since launch, and a lot of people, myself included, think it’s one of the best Soulslike games out there that isn’t made by FromSoftware, especially now with the Overture DLC added in.
Lies of P Sequel Has Entered Full Development
Neowiz, the publisher of Lies of P, recently shared its financial results for the first quarter of 2026. The report revealed that a sequel to Lies of P is officially in full development. While the report mentions the sequel in a few places, it’s highlighted in the “FY2026 Strategic Direction” section, which confirms the game has moved beyond the prototype phase. Development is now underway at Round8, a studio owned by Neowiz.

So, Neowiz just dropped their latest earnings report, and the only real news about the Lies of P sequel is that they’ve built a playable ‘vertical slice’ internally – basically, a demo to show off how the game could look and feel. They’re not giving away any story or gameplay details yet, which is frustrating! I’m really wondering if we’ll be playing as Pinocchio again, or if they’re going to tackle another classic story like they hinted at in that post-credits scene. It’s all a mystery for now!
Every Game Neowiz Has In Full Development
Neowiz’s first-quarter 2026 earnings report also revealed that four more games are currently in development: “Project Rubicon,” “Project CF,” a new project from Zakazane Studio, and a new project from Wolfeye Studios. Details are scarce for Project Rubicon and Project CF, but some information is available about the projects from Zakazane Studio and Wolfeye Studios.

I’ve been keeping an eye on a couple of new studios. Zakazane is a Polish team made up of folks who used to work at 11 Bit Studios and CD Projekt Red, and they’re making a single-player RPG where you play as a sheriff in a mining town. Then there’s WolfEye, which was started by developers from Arkane – you might know them from Weird West, their first game. They’re working on a first-person action RPG now. Both teams are fully in development on their projects, but sadly, there’s no word yet on when we can actually play them.
