Jeff Grubb from Giant Bomb reports that a new Nintendo Direct presentation is expected before the middle of June. While there was a brief Direct earlier this month focused solely on the new Star Fox game, fans are hoping for a more comprehensive presentation with news on multiple titles. Nintendo usually keeps these presentations under wraps and doesn’t announce them far in advance.
The one-year anniversary of the Switch 2 is almost here, but Nintendo hasn’t revealed much about its plans for the rest of 2026. We know that Yoshi and the Mysterious Book, Star Fox, and Splatoon Raiders will launch between May and July, and Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave is coming out sometime this year. There are also rumors of a Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake around the holidays. We should get a better look at what Nintendo has planned for the rest of the year during the next Nintendo Direct.
When to Expect the Next Nintendo Direct
During the Giant Bombcast, Jeff Grubb predicted the next Nintendo Direct will likely happen before the middle of June, though he doesn’t know the specific date. He believes it will be around the time Summer Game Fest starts on June 5th. Grubb isn’t sure if it will be a typical Nintendo Direct focusing on all games, or a Partner Showcase highlighting games from other companies, but he currently thinks it will be a general Direct due to its timing near other gaming events.

Now, with a price increase planned for September, Nintendo aims to highlight the value of the Switch 2.
