Microsoft has revealed the second wave of games coming to Xbox Game Pass in May 2026. This update includes eight new games, plus three more games with expanded content for Game Pass Premium subscribers. They’ve also given players a preview of what’s coming in early June 2026.
Xbox Game Pass subscribers learned about the first set of games coming this month on May 5th. Following its typical schedule, Microsoft has now announced the next group of games joining the service just two weeks later.
Xbox Game Pass Getting Luna Abyss and Three More Day-One Games This Month
In May 2026, a new wave of games will launch, with eight titles available, and four of them releasing immediately. Leading the charge is Luna Abyss, a sci-fi shooter that players have been waiting for since its initial plan for a July 2023 release. Developed by British studio Kwalee, the game puts you in the role of a prisoner tasked with exploring a massive, ancient structure. The goal? To uncover the secrets and technology of a lost civilization. Luna Abyss blends exciting, quick combat with challenging platforming as you piece together the story of Greymont and its vanished people.

The latest game announcements confirm that the sci-fi adventure Echo Generation 2 will be available on Xbox Game Pass starting May 27th, making it the second game added on its release day from this update. It will be quickly followed by the chaotic racing game Crashout Crew and the relaxing bug-collecting game Kabuto Park on May 28th. Beyond day-one releases, the May 2026 lineup includes the family-friendly adventure My Friend Peppa Pig, the first-person puzzle game Escape Simulator, and The Outer Worlds: Spacer’s Choice Edition. Plus, the popular action RPG Remnant 2 will be returning to the service on May 20th, a year after it was removed.

Five games are leaving Xbox Game Pass soon: Against the Storm, Metaphor: ReFantazio, Persona 4 Golden, Crypt Custodian, and Spray Paint Simulator. Despite these removals, May 2026 is still looking good for the service overall, as 18 new games will be added, balancing out the loss of 10 titles.
